The MIG GUI allows you to specify a number of pre-configured memory controllers for specific memory devices.From the GUI, you specify the memory type: Component, SODIMM, UDIMM or RDIMM and the specific memory part. If the specific memory device you are using is not listed, you can select "Create Custom Part" to manually target many devices.When a custom part is used, you must identify a "base part" that matches your memory device's data width and memory depth. The "Create Custom Part" GUI requires that you enter a number of timing parameters that are available in the device data sheet. The supported range is shown in the GUI.
