LogiCORE IP Video Scaler v2.0 - How do I input 4:2:0 chroma data when using a Memory Data Source?

Description

How do I input 4:2:0 chroma data when using a Memory Data Source?  There does not seem to be any way to tell the core which line contains valid chroma data.

Solution

When using a Memory Data Source, with 4:2:0 input data, the first line or top line of each frame that will be scaled must contain valid chroma data.  Then, every other line after that would be expected to contain valid chroma data.

So, if you count from the first line starting with 1, then the core expects valid chroma data on all the odd lines.

Line 1: YCb  YCr  YCb  YCr  YCb  YCr  YCb  YCr  etc.
Line 2: Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    etc.
Line 3: YCb  YCr  YCb  YCr  YCb  YCr  YCb  YCr  etc.
Line 4: Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    Yx    etc.
etc.
