AR# 34876 12.1 PlanAhead - "RTL I/O PLanner view" errors on LOC constraints

Description

When trying to create an RTL project, I get the following message when reading in the .ucf

ERROR: [HD-UCFReader 25] Cannot loc instance 'dataOut' at site SLICE_X35Y119 found on line 4, Unknown instance type 'RTL_FDRSE'

These are valid LOC constraints. Why am I seeing this error?

Solution

This is a known issue in the PlanAhead tool. You can safely ignore the error for now.

This issue is currently beinginvestigated for afixin afuture release of PlanAhead software.
