SystemACE/XAPP424 - When creating an ACE file to program an NKY file, you must use the -wtck switch

Description

Programming failures can be seen when using anACE file to program an encryption key to an FPGA using SystemACE or the XAPP424 ace player.

Solution

ACE programming of an NKY file requires TCK to toggle at all times including wait periods. To enable this, you must use the -wtck switch when generating the ACE file. For example:

svf2ace -i input.svf -o output.ace -wtck
