I am trying to open up PlanAhead in the Pre-Synthesis I/O planning process but PlanAhead opens up gray and empty.
It does not offer any clues as to what could be the cause of the issue. Why does this happen?
This is a known issue in PlanAhead. If the Elaboration of the RTL fails, PlanAhead will open up empty.
The issue is fixed in ISE 12.2 softwareso that when elaboration fails, the failed messages will be issued in the PlanAhead console for review.
