AR# 35397 12.2 PlanAhead - The PlanAhead tool cannot set KEEPER to an I/O port of Spartan devices

I am attempting to put a KEEPER attribute on an IOB, but the PlanAhead tool does not have a value KEEPER that I can choose.

How can I set this?

Solution


This is a known issue in the PlanAhead software. Currently, there is no way to set the KEEPER attribute on the I/O from the PlanAhead tool.

To work around the issuem, edit the ".ucf" manually to add the attribute.

This issue is resolved in ISE Design Suite 12.3.
