AR# 35965 12.1 EDK Compiling a Software application gives a Fatal Error in Asian versions of Windows XP

Description

We are trying to compile a simple software application that was built in BSB. We get a Fatal Error as shown below. This issue is specific to Chinese/Japanese/Korean version of Windows XP.

How can we work around this issue?

Solution

This issue is seen in Asian versions of Windows XP.

There are twoworkarounds

1. Use SDK to compile the software applications.
2. Use Xilinx Bash Shell and run the following command "make -f system.make program"
