How can I erase the full flash?


To carry out operations on a specific revision in a BPI flash, you must have multiple MCS files. iMPACT operates on the address range of the assigned MCS. By creating an individual MCS for each revision that specifies the starting address, you can carry out individual Erase, Program, and Verify operations on a specific revision without affecting any other data on the flash.

Alternatively, there are some batch commands that can be used that do not depend on the MCS file assigned:

Erase -o => Chip Erase
Blankcheck -o => Chip Blankcheck
Readbacktofile -x => Readback only within the boundary of the mcs file
Readbacktofile -partial <startaddress> <numofBytes> => readbacktofile from specified start address up to specified number of bytes
