AR# 36311 12.1 iMPACT - "ERROR:iMPACT - The assigned file exceeds the capacity of the largest flash device supported for indirect flash programming using iMPACT."

Description

When I attempt to add an attached flash to a Virtex-5Q device, the following erroroccurs:

"ERROR:iMPACT - The assigned file exceeds the capacity of the largest flash device supported for indirect flash programming using iMPACT."

How do I work around this issue?

Solution

This issue is to be resolved in iMPACT 12.2. In the meantime, to work around this issue, add a Virtex-5 BSDL file rather than a Virtex-5Q device.
