General Description:
What are naming restrictions for CORE Generator modules?

Solution

User names for COREGen modules must adhere to the following
restrictions:

- Up to 8 characters in length
- No filename extensions are allowed
- Must begin with a lowercase alphabetic character, a-z
(no uppercase characters allowed)
- May include numerical digits after the leading alphabetic
character (0-9)

These restrictions are defined in order to maximize
compatibility with the various supported CAE flows, including
Foundation, Viewlogic, Synopsys FPGA Compiler and FPGA Express.
The restrictions are documented in the CORE Generator User Guide.
