Description

There is a -bpi_dc option in PROMGen which includes a serial switch. What is this switch for?

Solution

The -bpi_dc option's serial switch is for Spartan-3A devices only and is used with BPI-to-serial daisy chains; this switch is used when a Spartan-3A device is configured in BPI mode (this has to be the first device in the daisy chain) and configures other devices serially in a serial daisy chain.
