AR# 37123 12.1 EDK - The Hello World SDK sample application requires the UART Lite or UART 16550

Description

If I attempt to create a new C project in SDK and select Hello World, I see a message at the top of the GUI Screen that states:

This application requires a UART IP (xps_uartlite or xps_uart16550) in the hardware.

This design will use the UART interface on the MDM, but it looks like this is not supported. Can the Hello World application support the MDM?

Solution

The MDM UART will be supported in the automatic test application beginning in the EDK 12.3 tools release.
