AR# 37354 12.2/12.3 ChipScope - IBERT - GTH - In the Analyzer the reset does not always set the error bit count to zero

Description

In the ChipScope Analyzer, when the BERT reset button is pressed the error bit count will always be reset to zero. However, when either clicking the Quad reset or Tool bar "Reset All" button, in some situations the error bit count would display a small number of errors. Why is this?

Solution

This is an issue with the reset sequence used for the Quad or Reset All buttons. To work around this, use the BERT reset. This issue will be resolved in ChipScope Pro analyzer 12.4.
