Description

This README Answer Record contains installation instructions for the ISE Design Suite 12.3 Speed File Patch.This patch is required for all customers who are using Virtex-6 or Spartan-6 devices.The speed files have been updated based on characterization data.

Solution

  1. Download and install ISE Design Suite 12.3, see (Xilinx Answer 37664).
  2. Download ISE Design Suite 12.3 Speedfile Patch Single File download from the Xilinx Downloads page:
    http://www.xilinx.com/support/download/index.htm
  3. Untar the archive. For more information about tar files, see (Xilinx Answer 32818).
  4. Copy the extracted 12.3 Speedfile ISE directory into your ISE Design Suite 12.3 location.
  5. Select "Yes" to replace all the files.
