AR# 38474 Project Navigator - An open project might cause crash on Windows Vista 64-bit SP2

Description

On 64-bit Vista ISE software, Project Navigator crashes whenselecting File -> Open Project when there is a ZIPfile in the directory above the project directory.

Solution

The Project Navigatorcrash occurs on Windows Vista 64-bit with Service Pack 2. The File -> Open Project file selection dialog causes a crash if there is a ZIP file in the project directory, and if the folders section in the lower left of the file select dialog box is visible.

Two possible ways to work around this issue are:
  • Remove theZIP file from the project directory, or rename the file to have a different extension.
  • Closethe folders section in the lower left of the dialog; with it closed, the problem goes away.
This issue has not occurred on other Windows or Linux 64-bit or 32-bit platforms.
