The AXI_DMA examples_poll.c driver example mentions an AXI feedback core:

This code assumes a loopback hardware widget is connected to the AXI DMA core for data packet loopback.
Where can I find a loopback core?

INSTALLATION:
Extract to project pcores/ directory. Project->Rescan User Repositories

The loopback core buffers incoming transactions on a slave interface in a FIFO, and then initiates the transaction on a master interface.
