For the LogiCORE LTE RACH Detector v1.0,what is the correct description for the Fc offset demodulation value described in data sheet DS761?

Solution

In the documentation, the value Fc, which controls the frequency offset demodulation, is incorrectly described.

There are two mistakes:

1.There should be an adjustment determined by the bandwidth/sample rate. As the sample rate goes down, the phase increment per sample needs to increase to maintain the same Fc.For example,Fc for abandwidth of 20 is doubled if thebandwidth is dropped to 10.

2. The frequency value calculated is half of the value it should be. This stems from the fact that Fc is actually a phase increment, so to get a frequency of 1, the phase increment would be 0.5 per sample.
