AR# 39105 12.3 EDK, AXI_EMC - Does EMC support synchronous burst mode of flash devices?

Description

Can a XPS_MCH_EMC or AXI_EMC core use synchronous burst mode of a flash device, such as a Numonyx P30?

Solution

Starting with AXI_EMC_v1_03_a in EDK 13.4the axi_emc controller supports the ability to switch between asynchronous and synchronous modes. The XPS_MCH_EMC will not be updated to support this feature.
