AR# 39871 12.x/13.x ChipScope Pro - IBERT - Virtex-5 GTX - Core is not recognized by CS analyzer - UNIT:1_0 Unsupported (XSDB-512)

Description

If TXOUTCLK is slected as the system clock for IBERT,the ChipScope analyzer does not recognize the IBERT corein Virtex-5 FXT devices. The following messages appear in the console -

UNIT:1_0 Unsupported (XSDB-512)

If the system clock is changed into the external clock, the core appears in the analyzer.

Solution

This is an issue with the clocking implemented in the core. The workaround is to use an external clock source. This issue will be resolved in ChipScope Pro 13.2.
