General Information

The System Monitor Wizard v2.1 supports the Virtex-5 and Virtex-6 device families. The Wizard can be used to customize the I/O Ports usage, the User Alarms and Thresholds, and the Channel Sequencer. For more information on these features, refer to the System Monitor User Guide, accessible at:

http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/virtex-6.htm
http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/virtex-5.htm

New Features in v2.1
  • There are no new features in the 2.1 version of the core.

Bug Fixes in v2.1
  • The user can enter the analog stimulus file on the first page of the v2.1 Wizard.
  • The Wizard is correctly calculating the ADDCLK rates so the user no longer receives erroneous warning in relation to this.
  • The VP/VN are correctly connected in the wrapper.
  • The issues in relation to check boxes being incorrectly greyed out have also been resolved in the v2.1 of the Wizard.
  • The Virtex-6 CXT does not support the System Monitor (See Xilinx Answer 40440). From 13.2 you will no longer be able to target these devices with the System Monitor Wizard.

Known Issues
  • In 13.2 support for Defense Grade Virtex-6Q Lower Power has been added, however, the System Monitor Wizard does not generate a core if this family is targeted. For further information on this issue (See Xilinx Answer 42528).
