Promgen and using -data_file switch

Description

When using Promgen and the -data_file switch, the data in the data file will be byte swapped and formatted.

Can I keep the data in its original format?

Solution

If you need the data unformatted and left alone, you must pre-swap the file and then put it into the cmd line to swap it back.

For example:

promgen -p hex -b -r input.bin -o flipped.hex
promgen -p bin -r flipped.hex -o flipped .bin
promgen -p mcs -c FF -u 0 bit1 -data_file up 0x2000 flipped.bin

the resulting MCS file will have the data in flipped BIN in the same format as the original input.BIN.
