Description

This Answer Record addresses the support for Virtex-6Q lower power devices in the ISE 13.2 software release.

Solution

Issue: TheVirtex-6Q lower power (Virtex-6QL) devices are added in the drop-down list in theCORE Generator tool in the ISE 13.2 software release. Though the Virtex-6 FPGA GTXTransceiver Wizard v1.10 allows generating the core for these devices in the CORE Generator tool,the UCF file does not support this package leading to incorrect UCF generation.

Work-around: The core should be generated for Virtex-6Q device package, then thefollowing implementation scripts should be modifiedto use theVirtex-6QL device:

Implement.sh/.bat
Implement_synplify.sh/.bat
Planahead_ise.tcl
Synplify.prj
Xst.scr

This issue is to be fixed in theISE 13.3 software, Virtex-6 FPGA GTX Transceiver Wizard v1.11 version.
