AR# 43098 Spartan-6 FPGA Connectivity Kit TRD - ISIM gives Signal EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION Errors on Windows OS

Description

When running the ISE Design Suite 13.2 update for the Spartan-6 Connectivity TRD, v1.3 in Windows NT and simulating with ISIM, the following errors might be seen:

"ERROR:Simulator:754 - Signal EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION received"
"ERROR:Simulator:754 - Signal EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION received"

Solution

This error is not seen in XP or with previously installed versions of the tools (before the ISE Design Suite 13.2).The crash happens only on NT (XP) and the TRD simulates as as expected in the 13.2 Design Suiteon Linux. This crash occurs only on systems with low memory and will be fixed in ISE 13.3.
