AR# 45849 CORE Generator - Upgrading MIG core to latest version does not work

Description

I have a MIG core in my project. There is a newer version of the core available. I select the core and click the "Upgrade to Latest Version" option. The core does not get upgraded to the latest version. What can I do?

Solution

The Upgrade to Latest version option does not work with the MIG core. In order to upgrade this core, open the core in the MIG executable first. See:(Xilinx Answer 36389).
