13.x/14.x iMPACT Batch Mode - Using setcablespeed before setcable causes iMPACT to crash

Description

If I attempt to use iMPACT batch mode, it crashes before connecting to the cable.

What could be causing this issue?

Solution

Using the "setcablespeed" command before "setcable" will cause iMPACT to crash.

For example, the following causes iMPACT batch mode to crash:

>impact -batch
>setmode -bs
>setCableSpeed -speed 12000000

To work around this issue, use the"setcable" command before "setcablespeed".

For example:

>impact -batch
>setmode -bs

>setcable -port auto
>setCableSpeed -speed 12000000
