AR# 46710 10G Ethernet PCS/PMA (10G BASE-R) - Polarity change needed when using SFP on Kintex-7 KC705 board

Description

If using the 10G BASE-R core to connect to the SFP on the Kintex-7 KC705 board, the polarity on the GTX might need to be changed.For more details and to see what revisions of the board are affected, see (Xilinx Answer 46614).

Solution

To swap the polarity:

  1. Go to "example_design/gtx/gtwizard_10gbaser_gt.v/vhd".
  2. Change the RXPOLARITY and TXPOLARITY inputs from '0' to '1'.
