LogiCORE IP Defective Pixel Correction v5.00.a (Vivado 2012.1) - Why does the Defective Pixel Correction core always use the default values when using the constant mode in Vivado?

Description

Why does the Defective Pixel Correction core always use the default values when using the constant mode in Vivado?

Solution

This is a known issue in the Defective Pixel Correction v5.00.a when generated from Vivado software.

The GUI changes are not being properly passed to the HDL code, so the core always generates with default values.

This can be worked around by using the AXI4-Lite interface, and programming the required parameter changes.

This issue will be resolved in the next release of the Defective Pixel Correction core.
