LogiCORE IP DisplayPort v2.1, v2.2., v2.3, v3.1 - Why does the DisplayPort Core Hardware validation list the DNMEG_V5_T_PCIE board, when Virtex-5 FPGA is not supported?

Description

Why does the DisplayPort Core Hardware validation list the DNMEG_V5_T_PCIE board, when Virtex-5 FPGA is not supported?

Solution

The DisplayPort Core no longer supports Virtex-5 FPGA. The reference to validation using the DNMEG_V5T_PCIE board from The Dini Group does not apply to the DisplayPort LogiCORE IP v2.1, v2.2, v2.3, and v3.1. The reference to validation using the board in the Data Sheet will be removed in the DisplayPort v3.2 documentation.

For information on the removal of Virtex-5 FPGA support from the DisplayPort Core, see (Xilinx Answer 42952).
