LogiCORE IP Video Scaler v6.00.a/v7.00.a/v7.01.a/v8.0/v8.1 - Why do the INTC_IF interface register and pins not behave as described in the documentation?

Description

Why do the INTC_IF interface register and pins not behave as described in the documentation?

Solution

This is a known issue.

INTC_IF register interface pins do not work as expected, the affected pins/registers are listed below :

  • intr_coef_mem_rdbk_rdy
  • eol_error
  • sof_error
  • intr_coef_wr_error

This issue affects the Video Scaler v6.00.a, v7.00.a, v7.01.a, v8.0 and v8.1.

It is recommended that users ignore the INTC_IF interface.

If you are following the Coefficient readback process documented in PG009 LogiCORE IP Video Scaler Product Guide, you should wait two frames before attempting to read back the coefficients, rather than polling the intr_coef_mem_rdbk_rdy pin or register.
