AR# 52981 2012.2 Vivado - ERROR: [#UNDEF] Error while reading WCFG file 'C:path owave1.wcfg'.

I have saved a simulation waveform (WCFG) file. Now, when I relaunch simulation using the same waveform, I get an error and it does not appear that the correct path is being used.

Example:

My waveform file is saved at: C:\path\to\wave1.wcfg
When I relaunch simulation I see the following messages.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
xsim my_design_behav -tclbatch my_design_behav.tcl -view C:\path\to\wav1.wcfg -logmy_design_behav.log

open_wave_config C:path owave1.wcfg
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ERROR: [#UNDEF] Error while reading WCFG file 'C:path owave1.wcfg'.

This issue occurs in Vivado Design Suite 2012.2 on Windows OS or in projects with spaces in the path to the .wcfg file.

The directory to the wcfg file is not being properly escaped. As such, back slash characters separating directory structure are treated as escape characters, and spaces indicate the end of the file name.

The wcfg file still exists and can be opened after launching the simulator.

This issue has been corrected in Vivado Design Suite 2012.3.
