LogiCORE IP Video Scaler v7.01.a - Why do my s_axis_video_aclk and m_axis_video_aclk inputs get tied to ground in XPS if I do not connect them to my video clock?

Description

Why do my s_axis_video_aclk and m_axis_video_aclk inputs get tied to ground in XPS if I do not connect them to my video clock?

Solution

There is a known issue in the Video Scaler v7.01.a where if you do not connect up the clocks, the connections default to ground.

This will be fixed in a future release.

You can work around this issue by opening the ports tab of XPS and connecting the following signals to the appropriate clocks in your system:

  • s_axis_video_aclk
  • m_axis_video_aclk
