Vivado - Files passed as generics in the ISE design tools do not get added to a Vivado project upon migration

If I migrate a design from ISE to the Vivado tool, the files that are passed as generics in ISE are not added to the newly created Vivado project.

For example, an init file name is passed as generic through the hierarchy. In Project Navigator, the file is picked up and used correctly. In the Vivado tool, when the ISE project is imported, the file is not recognized or used which leads to synthesis errors in Vivado because the init files are missing from the project.

Vivado does not parse generics in an ISE project when migrating files; this is not supported by the Vivado design tools.

To work around this issue, you can manually add these files to the newly created Vivado project.
