LogiCORE IP Image Statistics v5.01.a, v6.0 - Why do the YCrCb histogram results appear to be in the wrong bin location?

Description

Why do the YCrCb histogram results appear to be in the wrong bin location?

Solution

The issue of the YCrCb histogram results appearing in the wrong bin location is due to a problem with the coefficients used by the color space conversion algorithm internal to the Image Statistics core.

This has been addressed in the Image Statistics v5.01.a Rev.1 core, see (Xilinx Answer 58552).

This problem also affects the Image Statistics C-Model.

For a detailed list of LogiCORE Image Statistics Release Notes and Known Issues, see (Xilinx Answer 33748).
