What is the correct minimum operation input differential voltage of the GTH transceiver clock inputs?


(UG476) 7 Series FPGAs GTX/GTH Transceivers User Guide, page 300 states:

"The nominal range is 250 mV - 2000 mV and the nominal value is 1200 mV"


However, DS183 on page 60 shows Vidiff for a GTH Transceiver clock is 350mV min and 2000mV max.

Solution

UG476 covers both GTX and GTH Transceivers and incorrectly only states the range for the GTX Transceiver.

A Change Request has been filed against UG476 to have this statement removed and to refer users to the datasheet.


DS183 is the document that contains the correct values:

Page 51 DS183: Vidiff for a GTX transceiver clock is 250mV min and 2000mV max.
Page 60 DS183: Vidiff for a GTH transceiver clock is 350mV min and 2000mV max.
