2.1i FPGA Editor - FPGA Editor adds an incorrect file extension when saving designs as macros

Keywords: macro, nmc, ncd, design

Urgency: Standard

General Description:
I am saving a design as a macro. In the "Save As" dialog, I select "Macro", and type in a name with no extension. FPGA Editor then adds a ".ncd" extension and reports the following message:

"The macro filename must have an ".nmc" extension."

You must explicitly specify ".nmc" when you type the name; or, if you type the name without the extension and select "Macro" again, this will add the .nmc to the file name.

This will be fixed in a future software release.
