Vivado 2014.2 Script example that takes a BD file and generates everything down to the SDK export files in non-project flow mode (in-memory mode)

Description

Is there an example script that takes a BD file and generates everything down to the SDK export files using non-project, in-memory mode instead of project mode?

Solution

The attached archive scripts uses the .bd file mb_ex_1.bd which is taken from the Vivado example design from the 2014.2 install:

C:\Xilinx\Vivado\2014.2\examples\Vivado_Tutorial\Projects\microblaze\microblaze.srcs\sources_1\bd\mb_ex_1

It is placed into the created directory bd/mb_ex_1/mb_ex_1.bd

The script then runs until bitstream generation and even launches SDK.

This last step can be commented out.

The script can be easily changed to a TCL-only script flow if the .bd file is exported to Tcl with the write_bd_tcl command and then the generated Tcl file is sourced by the script.
