Licensing - lmgrd can't make directory /usr/tmp/.flexlm when running server on Ubuntu

Description

When Ubuntu is running lmgrd, the following lines are written in the log file every minute:

6:36:49 (xilinxd) Can't make directory /usr/tmp/.flexlm, errno: 2(No such file or directory)
6:37:49 (xilinxd) Can't make directory /usr/tmp/.flexlm, errno: 2(No such file or directory)
6:38:49 (xilinxd) Can't make directory /usr/tmp/.flexlm, errno: 2(No such file or directory)
6:39:49 (xilinxd) Can't make directory /usr/tmp/.flexlm, errno: 2(No such file or directory)

Solution

This happens because Ubuntu uses /var/tmp instead of /usr/tmp

Flexera FLEX licensing does not officially support Ubuntu.

Flexera toolkits are tested on Redhat and Suse only and therefore officially support those platforms.

These messages do not affect the licenses and can be safely ignored.
