Zynq-7000, ZC706 (Rev 1.1, Rev 1.2, Rev 2.0) is NOT impacted by Design Advisory 63149 "Secure Lockdown triggered by PS_POR_B reset sequence"

Description

To evaluate if the ZC706 (Rev 1.1, Rev 1.2, Rev 2.0) is impacted by the (Xilinx Answer 63149) "Design Advisory for Zynq-7000 AP SoC: Secure Lockdown triggered by PS_POR_B reset sequence" Xilinx performed Test1 and Test2 below.

Because they are both negative, the analysis using the Power Up Timing Spreadsheet (attached to (Xilinx Answer 63149)) MUST be performed in order to determine if the system is impacted.

Solution

Test1:
Does de-assertion of PS_POR_B occur 5 ms (or earlier) after the last PL power supply reaches 250mv ?
Result:
No.
 
Test 2:
Does de-assertion of PS_POR_B occur 40 ms (or later) after the last PL power supply reaches 95% of max voltage?
Result:
No.
 
In the ZC706 (Rev 1.1, Rev 1.2, Rev 2.0) the last PL power supply is VCCO_0 and PS_POR_B occurs ~10ms after VCCO_0 (see attached scope shot).
   
Important Test Assumptions: eFuse for 128K CRC is not enabled AND PLLs are not bypassed.

 


Because Test1 and Test2 are negative, further analysis is required.
 

The Power Up Timing Spreadsheet (attached to (Xilinx Answer 63149)) is used to confirm that the ZC706 (Rev 1.1, Rev 1.2, Rev 2.0) is NOT impacted by Design Advisory (Xilinx Answer 63149).
