How do I return a board kit or cable?

How do I return software or IP?


If you purchased from a Distributor you must work with them to submit the RMA to Xilinx.

If you purchased direct from the Xilinx Online Store - Please submit a Service Request for the appropriate reason for return. 

Below is a list of the three options for reason for return:

Electrical: Electrical failure on Xilinx boards and development kits.

Visual Mechanical: Physical damage on Xilinx boards, cables and development kits.

Administrative: Wrong product or quantity received (includes software products)

What can you expect after your RMA Service Request (SR) is submitted?

Electrical: You will be requested to perform an initial electrical failure analysis to determine if the problem can be solved without the return of the faulty product.

Visual Mechanical: All visual mechanical returns require an attached photograph with evidence of damage to the Xilinx product. 

(Note: You cannot attach a file to a Service Request (SR) until after you click the submit button.

Once your photo has been inspected, our quality team will provide you with further instructions on how to proceed in the process.)

Administrative: Wrong product or quantity received (includes software)

Xilinx RMA Policy

All Development System products are considered NCNR (No Cancellation/No Return):  

All Online Store purchases shall be non-cancellable and non-returnable (NCNR), subject only to the 90-day limited warranty for boards and cables.  

  • 90 days upon shipment from Xilinx to Xilinx direct fulfillment customer
  • 90 days upon shipment from Xilinx distributor to distributor end customer
RMA requests for products outside this warranty period will be denied.
