Vivado 2015.1 UltraScale RS[1:0] Pins are also Persisted for SelectMAP use case

Description

My UltraScale design returns the below error messages while running write_bitstream in 2015.1 with Persist set to Yes.

ERROR: [DRC 23-20] Rule violation (IOPL-2) Prohibit check - IO PPI_IG_VLAN_CAM_CRST_L is placed at prohibitedlocation BF29. Pkg Pin is marked prohibit

ERROR: [DRC 23-20] Rule violation (IOPL-2) Prohibit check - IO PPI_IG_VLAN_CAM_MDC is placed at prohibited location BF28. Pkg Pin is marked prohibit

The XDC has the below settings:

set_property CONFIG_VOLTAGE 1.8 [ current_design]

set_property CFGBVS GND

set_property BITSTREAM.CONFIG.PERSIST YES

set_property CONFIG_MODE S_SELECTMAP

The pins for which the error is reported are revision select pins RS0 & RS1.

Solution

This is a Tool Issue.

RS[1:0] Pins can be used as Normal I/O when PERSIST is set to Yes and SelectMAP mode is used.

There is currently no work-around to unpersist these two pins for SelectMAP mode settings, but it has been flagged to be fixed in a future version.
