By default, the Design Summary appears in the Workspace
when you open a project. If you close the Design Summary, you can
reopen it as follows.
Note If you do
not want the Design Summary to
appear in the Workspace when you open a project, deselect
Open Design Summary/Reports when project is opened in
the
ISE® General page of the Preferences dialog box.
To Open the Design Summary
From Project Navigator,
you can open the Design Summary using any of the following methods:
- Select Project > Design Summary/Reports
- In the Project Manager toolbar, click the Design Summary/Reports
toolbar button
. - In the Design
panel, select the top module
in the Hierarchy pane,
and double-click Design Summary/Reports in
the Processes pane.
If you are working with command line tools, you can access
the Design Summary through the XReport program using any of the
following methods:
- At the command line, type xreport.
In XReport, select File > Open, and browse
to the .ise file for your project.
- At the command line, type xreport -ise project_file.ise
Note If you do not have a .ise file, select
File
> New Project to create one. When you run command line
tools, you must use the
-ise option and specify
the .ise project file you created. Following is an example, using
MAP command line commands:
map -ise project_file.ise ... For more information, see
