Editing a Source File

ISE

After you add a source file to your project, you can edit it using the ISE® software as follows.

To Edit a Source File

In the Design panel, select the appropriate Design View from the drop-down list.
In the Hierarchy pane, double-click the source file.
Edit the file in the tool that appears.

Each source type launches a different tool to help you edit the file, as described in Source File Types. See the Help provided with each tool for detailed information.

Note After you edit the source file, you may need to rerun certain processes to bring the project up-to-date, as described in Running and Stopping Processes.
