Open Example Dialog Box

ISE

Use this dialog box to open an ISE® example project and copy it to the folder you specify. You can run the example design through ISE processes and make and save changes.

To access this dialog box, select File > Open Example.

Select an example project to open
Shows the example projects available. Scroll to the right to view a description and design details about each example project.
- Sample Project Name
  Shows the name of the project.
- Project Description
  Shows a description of the project.
- Source Type
  Shows the top-level source type.
- Target Device
  Shows the targeted Xilinx® device.
- UCF
  Shows whether there is a UCF file associated with the project.
- Platform
  Shows the operating systems on which the project is supported.
- Synthesis tool (XST, Synplify, Precision)
  Shows the synthesis tool or tools with which the example project has been tested.
- CORE Gen
  Shows whether there are CORE Generator™ cores associated with the project.
- Stimulus
  Shows which type of stimulus file is associated with the project.
Destination Directory
Specifies the location for the example project. You can browse to or enter the destination directory.
Note If the specified directory already contains a subdirectory with the example project name, you are prompted to either preserve the current directory, overwrite the current directory, or cancel the operation.
