Project Navigator Toolbars

Toolbars provide convenient access to frequently used commands. Following are the various toolbars available from Project Navigator.

Standard Toolbar

The Standard toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used File menu commands. To show or hide this toolbar, select View > Toolbars > Standard.

	New opens the New dialog box in which you can select the type of file to create.
	Open opens the Open dialog box in which you can select a file to open. The file displays in the appropriate application or editor.
	Save saves the active file to disk and overwrites the previously saved version. If a file was not saved previously, the Save As dialog box opens and lets you save the active file to disk.
	Save All saves all of the files open in the Workspace, even files in undocked windows. For files not saved previously, the Save As dialog box opens for each file, in the order that the files were created.
	Print opens the Print dialog box from which you can print the active file.

Edit Toolbar

The Edit toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used Edit menu commands. To show or hide this toolbar, select View > Toolbars > Edit.

	Cut removes the selected text or object from the Workspace and places it in the clipboard.
	Copy copies the selected text or object from the Workspace and places it in the clipboard.
	Paste inserts the text or an object from the clipboard into the active window.
	Delete deletes the item in focus.
	Undo reverses your latest operation. This button works only when there is something to undo.
	Redo reverses your latest Undo operation.
	Find opens the Find toolbar or Find dialog box from which you can search for a text string or an object in the active window.
	Find Text in Files opens the Find in Files dialog box from which you can search for a text string in a set of files.

View Toolbar

The View toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used View menu commands. To show or hide this toolbar, select View > Toolbars > View.

	Zoom In increases the size of the viewed objects.
	Zoom Out decreases the size of the viewed objects.
	Zoom to Full View zooms out to display the entire view in the active window.
	Zoom to Box zooms in to the selected area.
	Zoom to Selected displays selected objects at the highest magnification.
	Redraw All Windows cleans up the display of the file in focus.
	Toggle Transcript shows or hides the Transcript window.

Window Toolbar

The Window toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used Window menu commands. To show or hide this toolbar, select View > Toolbars > Window.

	Cascade overlaps all the windows with the active window on top.
	Tile Horizontally arranges the windows horizontally as non-overlapping tiles.
	Tile Vertically arranges the windows vertically as non-overlapping tiles.
	Float Window floats the active window.
	Dock Window docks the floated window.

Project Manager Toolbar

The Project Manager toolbar provides convenient access to Process and Tools menu commands. To show or hide this toolbar, select View > Toolbars > Project Manager.

	Implement Top Module runs the Implement Design process on the top module of the design.
	Design Summary/Reports opens the Design Summary in the Workspace, which allows you to quickly access design overview information, messages, and reports.
	Launch SmartXplorer opens the Launch SmartXplorer dialog box, which allows you to run multiple implementation flows using varying sets of implementation properties.

Help Toolbar

The Help toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used Help menu commands. To show or hide this toolbar, select View > Toolbars > Help.

	Support and Services displays the Xilinx® Support page in the default Web browser.
	Help activates context-sensitive help. After clicking this button, select a menu command or toolbar button for which you want information.

Language Templates Toolbar

The Language Templates toolbar allows you to edit the Language Templates. To show or hide this toolbar, select View > Toolbars > Language Templates.

Language Templates opens the Language Templates in the Project Navigator Workspace, which allows you to view and create templates and to insert a template within a source file.

Design Panel Toolbars

In the Design panel, the Hierarchy pane toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used Project and Source menu commands.

	New Source opens the New Source Wizard, which allows you to create a new source file and add it to the project.
	Add Source opens the Add Existing Sources dialog box, which allows you to add an existing source file to the project.
	Add Copy of Source opens the Add Copies of Existing Sources dialog box, which allows you to create a copy of a source file and add it to the project.
	Top Module sets the selected source file as the top module for the project.
	Remove Source removes the selected file from the project, but does not delete it from the disk.
	Edit Design Properties allows you to modify properties for the design.
	Edit Source Properties allows you to modify the Design View (for example, Implementation or Simulation) associated with the selected source file.
or	Change Orientation arranges the windows vertically or horizontally as non-overlapping tiles.

In the Design panel, the Processes pane toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used Process menu commands.

	Implement Top Module runs the Implement Design process on the top module of the design.
	Run Process runs the process selected in the Process tab and any preceding processes that are out of date.
	Stop Process stops the process that is currently running.
	Edit Process Properties opens the Process Properties dialog box for the process selected in the Process tab.
or	Change Orientation arranges the windows vertically or horizontally as non-overlapping tiles.

Files Panel Toolbar

The Files panel toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used Source menu commands.

Remove Source removes the selected file from the project, but does not delete it from the disk.

Libraries Panel Toolbar

The Libraries panel toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used Source menu commands.

	Move File to Library moves a VHDL file from one library to another, for example, from the default work library to a library that you created.
	Remove Source removes the selected file from the project, but does not delete it from the disk.

Find in Files Results Toolbar

The Find in Files Results panel toolbar provides convenient access to frequently used Find in Files commands.

	Clear All clears all search hits from the Find in Files Results panel.
	Find Text in Files opens the Find in Files dialog box from which you can search for a text string in a set of files.
	Show Next Result shows the next result for the Find in Files search.
	Show Previous Result shows the previous result for the Find in Files search.
	Show Current Result opens the file that contains the find result in the Workspace.
	Save Results as a Text file saves your Find in Files search results to a CSV file.
	Stop Job stops the currently running Find in Files search.

The following toolbars are associated with the active file in the Workspace.
