Encryption Options
The following Encryption options are available for the Generate Programming File process.
Note The Encrypt Bitstream property must be set to True (checkbox is checked) to access most of the properties in this dialog box.
  •  Encrypt Bitstream (Spartan®-6 LX75/LX100/LX150/LX75T/LX100T/LX150T, Virtex®-4, Virtex-5, and Virtex-6 devices only)
Specifies whether or not to encrypt the bitstream.
By default, the property is set to False (checkbox is blank), and encryption is not applied.
  •  Encrypt Key Select (Spartan-6 LX75/LX100/LX150/LX75T/LX100T/LX150T and Virtex-6 devices only)
Determines the location of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption key to be used, either from the battery-backed RAM (BBRAM) or the eFUSE register.
By default, this property is set to BBRAM.
  •  Key 0 (Hex String) (Virtex-4, Virtex-5, and Virtex-6 devices only)
Specifies the hexadecimal string for the AES encryption key for bitstream encryption. Enter a 64–character hexadecimal value (256–bit key).
By default, this property is blank, and a hexadecimal value is automatically assigned for the key if one is needed.
  •  HMAC Key (Hex String) (Virtex-6 devices only)
Specifies the hexadecimal string for the Hash Message Authentication Code (HMAC) encryption key for bitstream encryption. Enter a 64–character hexadecimal value (256–bit key).
By default, this property is blank, and a hexadecimal value is automatically assigned for the key if one is needed.
  •  AES Initial Vector (Spartan-6 LX75/LX100/LX150/LX75T/LX100T/LX150T, Virtex-4, Virtex-5, and Virtex-6 devices only)
Sets the starting cipher block chaining (CBC) value. Enter a 32 character hexadecimal value to set the starting CBC value (128–bit initial vector).
By default, this property is blank, and a starting CBC value is automatically assigned.
Note This property was formerly known as Starting CBC Value.
