The following properties provide
settings for the Power Report, and apply to the
Generate Power Data process.
- Produce Verbose Report
Specifies whether or not you wish to generate a full report. The
default is a standard report (checkbox is blank). When set to True,
the report is a detailed report (containing additional power data
than a standard report), or an advanced report when the next property
is also selected.
- Produce Advanced Verbose Report (FPGAs only)
Specifies whether or not you wish to generate an advanced power
report. By default, this report is not generated. To generate an advanced
report, set the Produce Verbose Report to True (checkbox is checked)
and set this property to True (checkbox is checked).
Note This
property is available only when Produce Verbose Report is set to True
(checkbox is checked).
- Maximum Number of Lines in Report
Note This property is only available when the Produce Verbose
Report property is set to True (checkbox is checked).
Specifies
the maximum length of the report. The default is 1000 lines.
- Load Setting File
Specifies a settings file (*_xpwr.xml) to be used by XPower Analyzer.
A settings file is an XML-based file that represents a snapshot of
the power distribution in your design. This file is a user generated
from a previous session of XPower Analyzer and is used to restore your settings.
When no output file name is specified, no XML file is saved.
- Setting Output File
Specifies a settings output file (*_xpwr.xml) to which the
current settings in XPower Analyzer are saved. A settings file is an XML-based
file that represents the current state of the power data, constrained
by the reporting options that you have specified.
When no output
file name is specified, no XML file is saved.
- Load Simulation File
Specifies a simulation file, *.vcd or *.saif, to be used by XPower Analyzer.
This file is the output of a simulation run on the design. SAIF and
VCD files are accepted for input of simulation data. Extended VCD
format is not supported.
Note Simulation
is the most accurate method of determining the exact activity rates.
Back-annotated post-Place and Route Simulation provides the best data
for determining activity rates, because it most closely represents
physical implementation. However, if post-Place and Route Simulation
is not available, RTL or pre-Implementation Simulation results may
be used. This data typically provides the expected activity of the
design I/Os. Providing these results ensures greater power estimation
accuracy than not providing any simulation results.
- Load Physical Constraints File (FPGAs only)
Specifies a physical constraints file (*.pcf) to be used by XPower Analyzer.
Temperature, voltage, Maxdelay and Timegrps are read from the physical
constraints file (PCF). Therefore, for accurate power estimations,
specify a PCF in this property.
- Input TCL Command Script (Advanced)
Specifies a Tcl command script file (*.tcl), which contains a
set of XPower Analyzer-specific Tcl commands used to perform tasks in XPower Analyzer.
- Other XPWR Command Line Options (Advanced)
Enter additional command line
options. Separate multiple options with spaces. The options entered
in this property appear first on the command line, before all other
property options. Avoid setting duplicate property options.
