PetaLinux Evaluation License

The PetaLinux Evaluation License allows users to deploy PetaLinux SDK and to access community-based support resources.

What’s Provided with the Evaluation License:

  • No charge
  • 12 month, node-locked, renewable license
  • Use is defined by the EULA
  • No Evaluation-specific restrictions
  • Access to all PetaLinux BSPs
  • AMP Software Reference Design (supporting the ZC-702 BSP)
  • Limited support*

*Access to Xilinx answer records and public forums. Webcase-based support is available only with the Commercial license.

PetaLinux Commercial License

The PetaLinux Commercial License provides users with direct Xilinx support.

What’s Provided with the Commercial License:

  • 12 month, node-locked or floating, renewable license
  • Use is defined by the EULA
  • Access to all PetaLinux BSPs
  • AMP Software Reference Design (supporting the ZC-702 BSP)
  • Direct user support for PetaLinux (see below for features)

Synopsis: After completing the process for your PetaLinux license at www.xilinx.com/getlicense it can be found under the Manage Licenses tab. If you have previously installed Xilinx ISE® Design Suite, then run “xlcm” from the command shell and point it at your license file.If you have not previously installed Xilinx ISE Design Suite, copy the license file to the <Home>/.Xilinx directory where it will be automatically found by PetaLinux SDK.
