Teaching Materials
Xilinx
University Program offers our members full access to the
entire set of workshop materials including slides,
laboratory exercises as well as the solutions to the exercises.
This material may be used in any form that would
benefit the professor
and students. Solutions to laboratory exercises are available to
Professors and teaching
staff only.
Professors can gain access to high-quality course materials made available online by academic partners, as well
as identify text books useful for teaching courses with Xilinx.
XUP Workshop Materials
The FPGA Design Flow workshop introduces you to the FPGA design
flow using the
ISE Foundation
software, and is intended
for University faculty who are new to Programmable Logic.
During
the course
of the workshop, you will step through
the complete Xilinx design flow from design entry to
download.
The workshop includes slides and labs to help
guide you through the flow.
The Embedded Design Flow workshop brings experienced FPGA designers up to
speed on the
capabilities
and characteristics of the Xilinx MicroBlaze™
32-bit soft processor core, the hard
embedded
IBM PowerPC™
core in the Virtex-II Pro™ FPGA, and the Embedded
Development Kit (EDK)
design environment.
Developing
embedded systems using the hard or soft processor cores
and a set of soft
peripherals is also included
in the
lectures and labs.
The
DSP Design Flow workshop provides an introduction to the advanced
tools you
need to
design and
implement
DSP algorithms targeting
FPGAs. This intermediate workshop in implementing
DSP functions
focuses on learning how to use System Generator for DSP, as
well as HDL design flow, CORE Generator
software,
and design
implementation tools. Through hands-on exercises, you will
implement a design from
algorithm concept
to verification.
The DSP Primer workshop covers fundamental and advanced DSP topics, where lab exercises are implemented
with
System Generator for DSP.
