Xilinx Productivity Advantage

It’s All About Improving Productivity

Overview

The Xilinx Productivity Advantage (XPA) program optimizes customers’ engineering resource potential through the use of AMD Software, IP, Hardware and Training by bundling Vivado, Training Credits, IP and Hardware at a discount.

Benefits of XPA

The use of XPA program, customer can raise productivity through:

  • Integration of AMD Design Productivity Solutions into customer’s design flow
  • Use of AMD IP saves design & verification time
  • Continuous access to the latest software & tools
  • Access to AMD Education courses for improved engineer efficiency

Components of XPA

The XPA bundle criteria is made up of a seat of Vivado + 2 days’ worth of Training Credits. Each bundle must have a minimum value of $5K (list price) and is only valid for a year. Once the XPA bundle criteria is satisfied, a customer is entitled to a discount.  Customers can also choose to add IPs and Hardware to the XPA bundle.

Vivado

Vivado™ Design Suite delivers a SoC-strength, IP-centric and system-centric, next generation development environment that has been built from the ground up to address the productivity bottlenecks in system-level integration and implementation.

Node Locked License – A node-locked license is an encrypted "key" that is locked to a specific machine or dongle (certificate licenses only).

Floating Licenses – A network floating license allows a user to use a license from any machine that can access the identified license server.

For more information, visit our Vivado Design Suite page.

Intellectual Property

AMD and our Partners have a rich library of Intellectual Property (IP) that can help our customers to achieve faster time to market, focus on application design & Increase Productivity.

Project License – Only allows use of the core in a single project, which is defined to be a single board that is programmed using multiple bit streams containing the core, or multiple boards that are programmed by a single bit stream containing the core.

Site License – Limits use of the core to designs developed within a geographical "site" which is defined to be the area within a 5 mile radius of a specified "site" address.

WW License – No restrictions

Hardware

From concept to product production, AMD FPGA and SoC boards, kits, and modules, provide you with an out-of-the box hardware platform to both speed your development time and enhance your productivity.

AMD board types cover Development and Evaluation Boards, PCIe, FMC – Daughter Cards etc with a wide range of board functions; from Digital Signal Processing to ASIC simulation to Connectivity.

For more information, please visit our Boards, Kits, and Modules page.

Training Credits

Training credits are credits purchased from AMD as part of an XPA bundle that allows the customer to attend any of the AMD courses conducted by Authorized Training Providers* (ATPs) in their respective regions.
