Message from Xilinx President and CEO Victor Peng on George Floyd, Racism, and Inequality

Xilinx Team,

I’m deeply saddened and outraged about George Floyd’s killing. His death, and those of other black men and women, show once again, the devastating impact racism and injustice continues to have on the black community in America. My heart goes out to the families of those who lost loved ones and have yet to see justice served. Protests against the deep and systemic racism and injustice against people of color have erupted throughout the U.S. and in several countries around the world. We support peaceful protests against racism and inequality and demands for fundamental human rights and justice. We denounce racism and inequality in all forms. We stand with the black community.

Xilinx is committed to advocating for racial equality. We are supporting and donating to organizations fighting to end discrimination. This includes the Color of Change, the Equal Justice Initiative, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Legal Defense and Education Fund, and the National Urban League. We will also strengthen our efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the company and build strong local communities.

We are a richer, greater company because of the diversity of our people, cultures, and ideas. Xilinx will not stay silent when it comes to condemning racism and fighting for social justice and equality for all.

Stay strong and safe,
